The Amy Lou’s Blues Band puts on a great show, they are one helluva good time!

BOBBY YOUNG 1:00 P.M.

The Bobby Young Project is a collaboration of musicians whose objective is to create music that touches the heart and soul. Our music is a mixture of "Traditional"and "Contemporary", "Blues", "Rock", "R & B" and "Jazz", all of which have historical "Tribal" origins, as do all of us.

J. C. SMITH BLUES BAND 2:00 P.M.

JC Smith is an outstanding performer noted for his energy and charisma. Prior to playing guitar, he was the drummer for the Back to Back Blues Band, which released two CDs that were well received by Blues lovers and critics alike. In 2000, he emerged from behind his drums, armed with a Gibson 335. J. C. attacks the Blues as if he is being guided by masters like T-Bone Walker, Albert King, and Johnnie Guitar Watson.

TWICE AS GOOD 3:00 P.M.

Twice As Good is the professional name of the music duo formed by Paul Anthony Steward (Son, born 1984) and Richard James Steward (Father, born 1951) from Clearlake Oaks, CA. Pomo Indians of the Elem Indian Colony. Richard had grown up around music all his life, learned to play guitar and sing. He mostly admired the Blues & Soul. When Paul was a young teenager, Richard taught Paul to play guitar, encouraging him to be a Lead Guitarist.

ZAKIYA HOOKER 4:00 P.M.

Zakiya Hooker is John Lee Hooker's living legacy. She is the singer-songwriter daughter of this American Icon and she is carrying her father's seminal blues torch confidently into the future. Zakiya's jazzy blues sounds will take you in and out of songs like "Hey Lady", "Baby You Busted", "New Orleans Rain", "Protect Me From The Blues", "Crossroads", "Stones In My Passway" and many more to entertain you.

CARAVAN OF ALLSTARS 5:00 P.M.

is a powerhouse revue put together to showcase some of the unsung heroes of West Coast Blues. The Caravan has a loyal following due to their high profile performances at Bill Graham Presents New Orleans by the Bay, the California Music Awards, AT&T San Jose Jazz Festival, Portland Waterfront Blues Festival, Monterey Bay Blues Festival, command performance for President Bill Clinton and first fundraising performances in Thailand for tsunami survivors. The Caravan released their second CD on 50/50 Records entitled "The Music They Played on 7th Street". The band consists of Ronnie Stewart, lead guitar; Robert "Hollywood" Jenkins, Rhythm Guitar; Dalhart Johnson & Henry Williams, bass guitar; Rich Forman, keyboards; Donnie Kountz & David "Stix" Boyette, drums; John Middleton, Carl Green and Sahar Miller, the “Sweet Meat Horn Section”. Vocalists include Wylie Trass, Teddy "Blues Master" Watson, Terrible Tom, and a host of other great bay area artists .

BLUES HARMONICA EXPLOSION 6:15 P.M.
featuring Birdlegg, Kyle Rowland and Bennie Hernandez

Oakland based blues harmonica player, Birdlegg has gained a loyal following for his down home blues playing. His recent CD features some songs, such as Meet Me on the Corner and Peachtree Blues, from his collaboration with important blues figure, Carroll Perry. Recently returned from a date at Mount Rushmore National Memorial, headlining with Mz. Dee, Birdlegg wowed the crowd with his energetic and uninhibited playing. Birdlegg has become a national treasure in his own right.

CHICK WILLIS 7:15 P.M.

Robert "Chick" Willis is primarily beloved for his ribald, dozens-based rocker "Stoop Down Baby. Chick began working with his cousin, Chuck Willis, a rollicking R&B showman who was later known as the “King of the Stroll”. Throughout the middle 50’s and up until Chuck’s death in 1958, Chick toured with Chuck’s review across the country. It was with this band that Chick solidified his concept of a satisfying stage show. Chick has since fronted his own band and has become one of the most in-demand performers on the Blues and R&B circuit. His penchant for raucous humor was undoubtedly primed when he gigged in the 60’s with Rudy Ray Moore of “Petie Wheatstraw” fame.
