Bay Area favorites René Solis and Lucky 13 have been selected to perform in the MBBF talent search and they would like your help get them to first place. That’s right, this year’s competition is a people’s choice award and the winner will perform on the main stage at the 2009 MBBF. The contest will feature ten (10) of California’s finest blues bands going head to head competing for the coveted slot. Please join René Solis and Lucky 13 to show your support and help them clinch the win.

You can make a difference!!!Previous winners include The Volker Strifler Band, NiteCry, Shane Dwight and Big Mo.

Details:

Monterey Bay Blues Festival Battle of the Blues Bands on Sunday December 7, 2008! The event will be held in the Monterey County Fairgrounds in the Monterey Room from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. The MBBF Battle of the Blues Bands will be open to the public, and is widely advertised locally and on the MBBF website. The price of admission (student discounts available) will include a voting ballot. Additional ballots will be available.
